Youth Rights! Right Now! Ending Youth Homelessness: A Human Rights Guide

Summary:

This guide was developed by Canada Without Poverty, in partnership with A Way Home Canada, the Canadian Observatory on Homelessness and FEANTSA (the European Federation of National Organisations working with the Homeless). Funding was provided by Maytree and The Laidlaw Foundation.

Created and compiled through feedback, research and consultation with the support of many organizations and individuals, this guide would not exist without the support of community partners, and the expertise and guidance of the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Right to Housing, Ms. Leilani Farha.

The authors are grateful for the insightful input of young persons with lived experience of homelessness in this guide, both through inperson consultations in Vancouver and Toronto, Canada, online survey results and peer review. Your rights matter – thank you for lending your voice to the development of this guide.
